FanExpo Boston, a comics, sci-fi, horror, anime, and gaming experience, will be taking place at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center (BCEC) from Friday, August 4 through Sunday, August 6. This event is expected to bring 30,000 daily attendees and visitors to the South Boston Waterfront. We can expect increased area activity, traffic, and limited parking.
Seaport TMA highly recommends that people traveling through the district utilize public and alternative transportation modes throughout the days of this event. Cyclists can reference the live map of bike parking and Bluebikes stations located in the Seaport. MBTA Silver Line service may see busier than normal ridership levels and area garages may also be busier. If you must drive, please allow additional time for your commute.
There will be event signage and State Police and Boston Police details around the BCEC and surrounding streets. For more information on the traffic and parking plan for Fan Expo Boston, please view the BCEC’s Transportation Management Plan. You can refer to the Seaport TMA South Boston Waterfront Calendar of Events for a complete overview of daily events and attendees this month.
Please contact Seaport TMA with questions.
