The Boston Water and Sewer Commission (BWSC) will commence Water Main Flushing in the Central, South End, North End, Seaport and South Boston areas starting:
The purpose of the water main flushing program is to improve the drinking water quality for residents and businesses in Boston.
The flushing process may cause
discolored water and a reduction in pressure. The discoloration of the water
will be temporary and is not harmful. If
the condition persists, please contact BWSC's 24 Hour
Service at (617) 989-7000.
A list of neighborhood streets and hydrants include: A ST, CHANNEL CENTER ST, WORMWOOD ST, NECCO ST., SUMMER ST, NECCO CT, MEDALLION AV, FARNSWORTH ST.,THOMSON PL, SEAPORT BLVD and COURTHOUSE WY.
