Boston Celebrates National Night Out
Mayor Martin Walsh, Police Commissioner William Evans, and the Boston Police Department Neighborhood Watch Unit cordially invite you to attend the 31st annual National Night Out on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 from 3pm - 8:30pm. The event will be held at Moakley Park in South Boston adjacent to the Ollie at 1187 Columbia Road.
The event celebrates partnerships between the community, youth, police, city agencies and community-based organizations. Every Boston resident is encouraged to keep a light on outside their residence to send a signal that says, “In Boston and all around the country ... people and the police are coming together and working as one to keep communities safe.”
Come meet Mayor Walsh and Police Commissioner Evans. Bring the family. There will be free kids' activities, food and entertainment, as well as awards for Boston's neighborhood watch groups. For more information call BPD Neighborhood Watch Unit at 617 343-4345.
