Cool concept, price is a tad high, tries too hard to make weird food. I just want to sit at the counter and have some good normal.
ReplyDeleteI really like Sportello. Their ricotta gnudi is amazing. It does feel a little strange at first to sit down at a counter and then see the prices. But considering the level of the food, I think it's priced well. You don't get white table clothes, a snooty maitre d' or waiters that flaunt their knowledge of obscure wines, but I actually like that. It's nice to be able to have a great meal in a low-key setting. That's rare in Boston.
